POLICY AND VALUE STATEMENTS

Policy and Value Statements

Conflict of Interest Statement

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. All staff are expected to act in the best interests of the organisation and the people we serve.

A conflict of interest occurs when an individual’s personal interests, relationships, or activities could influence — or appear to influence — their decisions, judgement, or actions on behalf of the organisation.

We require all individuals involved in our work to:

· Disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest as soon as they arise to their supervising line manager.

· Avoid participating in decisions where a conflict may impair impartiality.

· Act with honesty and transparency in all interactions.

· Follow our internal policies and procedures designed to manage and reduce conflicts of interest.

All disclosures are handled confidentially and assessed in line with our governance framework. Our commitment to transparency ensures that decisions are made fairly, ethically, and in the best interests of those we support.

Anti-Bribery and Corruption Statement

We are committed to conducting all our activities with honesty, integrity, and in full compliance with applicable anti-bribery and corruption laws. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and any form of corrupt practice.

Bribery and corruption undermine trust, fairness, and the values we uphold. We therefore require all staff, volunteers, representatives, and partners to act ethically and transparently in every aspect of their work.

We do not permit:

· Offering, giving, requesting, or accepting bribes

· Improper payments, gifts, or hospitality intended to influence decisions

· Facilitation payments or unofficial fees

· Any activity that could be perceived as corrupt or compromising integrity

Our responsibilities include:

· Promoting a culture of openness, accountability, and ethical behaviour

· Providing guidance and policies to help prevent bribery and corruption

· Ensuring concerns can be raised safely and confidentially

· Taking prompt action where a breach is identified

Everyone associated with our organisation must avoid situations where their actions could be seen as improper and must promptly report any concerns or suspected breaches.

We are committed to protecting the people we serve, safeguarding our reputation, and ensuring that all decisions are made fairly, transparently, and free from undue influence.

If you have any questions about this statement or wish to report a concern, please contact your line manager.

Gender Pay Gap Statement

We are committed to fairness, equality, and transparency in all aspects of employment. Our organisation values the contribution of every team member and strives to create a workplace where opportunities, development, and rewards are based solely on skill, performance, and merit.

The gender pay gap represents the difference in average pay between men and women across an organisation. It is not the same as equal pay, which refers to men and women being paid equally for the same or equivalent work — something we fully uphold.

Although not all organisations are legally required to report gender pay gap data, we are committed to promoting equality and ensuring that our pay practices remain fair and inclusive.

Our approach includes:

· Ensuring equal pay for equal work

· Reviewing pay structures and recruitment practices to remove potential bias

· Encouraging progression and development opportunities for all staff

· Promoting an inclusive culture that supports work–life balance and flexible working

· Monitoring representation at all levels of the organisation

We are committed to ongoing improvements and to removing any potential barriers that may affect equality in our workplace. Our goal is a fair, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

If you have questions about this statement or our commitment to equality, please contact your line manager.

Modern Slavery Statement

We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our organisation and supply chains. We uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and expect the same from all who work with us.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, and exploitation. We take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery.

Our commitments include:

· Ensuring that all staff, volunteers, and leaders understand the signs of modern slavery and how to respond to concerns

· Conducting due diligence when working with suppliers, contractors, and partners

· Maintaining transparent and ethical recruitment practices

· Ensuring that no fees or incentives are ever charged to individuals seeking employment or volunteering opportunities

· Providing clear safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures so concerns can be reported safely and confidentially

· Taking immediate and appropriate action where a risk or incident is identified

We believe everyone has the right to live and work freely, with dignity and without fear of exploitation. We continue to strengthen our processes, raise awareness, and work collaboratively to help eliminate modern slavery in all its forms.
